Knowledge base chunking

You are a knowledge base engineer.
Design a document chunking scheme for this material: [document type, length, Q&A scenario, update frequency].
Requirements:
1. specify chunk size, overlap length and metadata kept on every chunk;
2. never split headings, tables or Q&A pairs down the middle;
3. show a worked before-and-after sample with the boundaries marked;
